It survived a 5-story fall in an elevator shaft, and I have used it ever since!
To say that I'm impressed is an understatement.
On 29 August 2020 - just as the doors opened, my wallet slipped from my hands and fell perfectly into the crack between the hotel floor's carpet and the elevator car at the Henley Park in Washington, DC (kudos to Ms. Barnes, the concierge for all her hard work in 1) finding an elevator inspector to retrieve it for me and 2) getting it to me safely by FedEx).
The wallet not only survived that long drop (we could hear it bounce all the way down), but every card was RFID-blocked by the aluminum casing and every bill remained inside the cash strap. I went to my Tiki dinner at Archipelago perfectly relaxed, because I knew that everything was secure in that wallet (by dinner guests were calmed by my tranquil response).
I must also say that the Ridge Customer Service staff was so on top of things and had shipped me a replacement wallet in two days, just in case my original wallet was irretrievable. It arrived before my own wallet was discovered!
On several occasions I have presented the Ridge Door Hook/Opener and Wallets as gifts, and I will continue to turn to them for my business (I am eyeing several items to buy for myself over the coming weeks and months).
I cannot write enough about this lightweight, RFID-blocking, stylish, minimalist wallet or about the superb customer service from the company who makes it!
PS: If I am able to upload a photo of the wallet after I hit "AGREE," I will. It will be post-fall/post…
